UMAC Balikbayan Box Tracking

Enter your 9-digit box number below (format like UMTC357975) and hit "Track Now" to see your shipment's current status. This tool pulls live tracking data so you get the same information UMAC's own system shows — just in a faster, clearer layout.

What Is UMAC Tracking?

UMAC tracking lets you check the status of a shipment sent through UMAC Forwarders Express Inc. — including balikbayan boxes, cargo, and parcels — using the box number (also called a tracking number) assigned when you booked your shipment. Entering that number returns the shipment's current stage, such as processing, in transit, at customs, or out for delivery.

Why Is My UMAC Tracking Not Updating?

This is one of the most common tracking questions, and it usually comes down to one of these:

  • Just shipped: new tracking numbers can take 24–48 hours to activate after the first scan.
  • Sea cargo transit: most balikbayan boxes travel by sea (6–8 weeks door-to-door), and there are simply no scan points while your box is on the water — the next update typically comes when it reaches a Philippine port.
  • Customs processing: clearance can add time without a visible status change.
  • Peak season: shipments made in the months before Christmas or other high-volume periods can see longer gaps between scans.

If your status hasn't changed for more than two weeks after your box should have reached the Philippines, that's a reasonable point to contact UMAC directly rather than keep waiting.

Why status seems stuck

Why Sea Cargo Tracking Has Gaps

Most balikbayan boxes travel by sea. There are no scan points on the open ocean — so a quiet status for a few weeks is normal, not a lost shipment.

UMAC Tracking Not Working?

If the tool isn't returning a result:

  • Double-check your box number for typos — mistyped characters are the most common cause.
  • Confirm the shipment was recently booked; very new numbers may not be active yet (see above).
  • Make sure you're using the box/tracking number, not a receipt or invoice number from a different field.

If you've confirmed the number is correct and it still won't return a result, contact UMAC customer service directly (below).

Tracking a Balikbayan Box

Balikbayan boxes are tracked the same way as any other UMAC shipment — with your box number in the tool above. For a full explanation of what a balikbayan box is, prohibited items, and shipping costs, see our UMAC Balikbayan Box page.

Tracking From Different Countries

UMAC operates in more than 30 countries, including the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Spain, and Guam. The tracking process is the same everywhere — only your box number is needed. If you want country-specific shipping schedules or pickup details, see our UMAC Canada Tracking page and other country pages.

FAQs

You can see which stage your box is in (origin, transit, customs, domestic delivery) using the tracking tool above. Note that the status doesn't always update in real time — a gap of a few days between your box's actual location and the online status is normal, especially during customs clearance.

Typically 6–8 weeks for sea cargo to the Philippines, though this varies by origin country and season — expect longer lead times from October to December due to peak balikbayan box volume. Air cargo is faster but priced differently; check with UMAC directly for air rates.
